Angela Sullivan-Barta, President & CEO - 2009
Angela is the CEO of 21st Century Pools & Spas after puchasing 21st from her Father, Bob Sullivan. After 15 years experience in the Pool & Spa industry, assisting in every department, and being responsible for hiring all the great employees on our team, she took the step into ownership and has continued the sucess of 21st Century Pools & Spas. Angela graduated from Arizona State University in 2013 where she was the Captain of the Equestrian Team and a member of many clubs and organizations. Angela earned a place on the 2021-2022 Dealer Advisory Board with Bioguard and served the industry by helping to advise the largest chemical supplier in decision making for future products and more. She has been featured in many industry magazines, most recently in 2020 as a female industry leader in Pool & Spa Magazine.
Eric Lipski, Operations Manager - 2017
Eric has been promoted to Operations Manager here at 21st Century Pools after joining the company in 2017 as Service Department Assistant. Eric attended and graduated from SUNY Potsdam where he was a member of the Swimming & Diving team. Locally, Eric coached 5 seasons of High School Swimming & Diving. Prior to joining the 21st Century team, Eric spent time working on some of the country’s top Platinum Level Country Clubs, including one of the Top 10 Country Clubs in America. Eric has also achieved the title “Certified Pool and Spa Operator” from A.P.S.P.
Teresa Hollister, AAS, CWT - 1993
Teresa is our corporate bookkeeper with an Associates Degree in Business management from SUNY Morrisville. She has also been trained and reached the level of “Certified Water Technician” through Biolab, Inc. For years, Teresa managed our Oneonta location and has worked in the showroom here in Vestal as well. Teresa has been part of our team since 1993 and is an integral part of the day to day operations here at the 21st office. Whenever a team member needs something, Teresa is their first stop!
Taylor Sullivan, CPO, C Sales Manager - 2015
With ith us since 2015, Taylor spent a majority of that time building aboveground pools and inground pools, pouring concrete and is now a pool and spas sales and showroom manager. Taylor has received multiple qualifications including, Certified Pool Operator CPO by Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, Certified Service Technician by Sundance Spas, and Certified Water Technician by Biolab.
Michele Bennett, Showroom Representative - 2020
Michele has been with 21st Century Pools & Spas since 2020 and has created a fun and welcoming atmosphere in our showroom. She greets every customer warmly and has come to know many closely through working together. Come visit Michele and see why coming to 21st is different than any where else you can buy pool and spa supplies. Michele makes it special!
Cheyenne Molyneaux, Service Department Assistant - 2019
Cheyenne has been with us for 5 summers and over those seasons has created special relationships with many of our customers. When you call our service department, Cheyenne is the smiling voice you'll hear on the other end of the line. She can help you iwth everything from cloudy water to a brand new pool liner.
Service and Installation
Keven Horak, Service Technician CPO - 1991
Keven is a senior service technician and has been part of the team since 1999. Keven specializes in commercial pool renovations and repairs and has received several manufacturer training certifications for installation of various products. He recently completed the New York State 10 Hour OSHA construction course and is a “Certified Pool Operator”.
Darren Antalek, Inground Pool Installations - 2001
Darren is our inground crew leader and began at 21st Century Pools in 2001. He specializes in plumbing installations and is a highly experienced concrete finisher; he has been extensively trained by his former supervisor with 40+ years experience, Cal Hunter. Darren recently completed the New York State 10 Hour OSHA construction course.
Michael Hermanovitch, Aboveground Pool Installations - 2020
Mike started as a crew member in 2020 and was promoted to crew leader in 2023. He has installed hundreds of Aboveground Pools in his time here and his work speaks for itself in both quality and efficiency.
Christian Holmberg, Pool & Spa Technician - 2023
Christian joined our team to take on all of our spa and hot tub service needs, since joining he has learned quickly and added pool service to his list of skills. He is well liked by all of the customers he visits and we often get reports of how considerate and thorough Christian is.
*Retired 2022* Robert F. Sullivan, AAS, CWT, CBP
Robert is the former President, CEO, and owner of 21st Century Pools until selling the business to his daughter, Angela. Bob is a “Certified Building Professional” and a charter member of the Backyard Place Dealer Advisory Council which is made up of select Pool Dealers across the United States and was organized by POOLCORP the largest pool products supplier in the US. Bob also is a past member of the Davis College Presidents Advisory Board and former chairman of Broome County chapter of CHANGE-NY. In addition to this, Bob spends significant time building churches and youth centers each year in areas of great need including Cuba and Mexico. Bob holds an Associates Degree in Architecture from SUNY Delhi and began working in the pool industry in 1979 while still employed at IBM in Endicott, NY.
*Retired 2021* Calvin Hunter
Calvin led our inground pool installation team for over 30 years, installing hundreds of pools. Cal had a knack for managing people in a way that pushed them to be their best self and always appreciated those who went the extra mile. In addition to this, Cal is one of the most highly respected builders in this area not only by customers but also by our competiton. His work speaks for itself and we were fortunate he chose to spend his career here with us at 21st.
*Retired 2023* Mark Frederick, CPO
Mark worked as a salesman here at 21st Century Pools for nearly 40 years, selling customers what they needed for their particular yard or desires. His salesmanship spoke for itself in the thousands of pools and spas Mark sold during his time with 21st Century Pools.
